One of the most popular summertime events in Vancouver returns! The Evo Summer Cinema Series at Stanley Park – “in the park after dark” free outdoor movies – returns every Tuesday from July 7 to August 25.

Salsa Dancing at Robson Square

Robson Square will be kicking off free annual salsa events will be back starting July 5, every Sunday afternoon from 3:30 to 7 p.m. for a total of nine Sundays.

Free lessons begin earlier on in the day taught by professional salsa dancers, which are followed by a dance show at 5 p.m. filled with some of Vancouver’s best performers.

Canadian Cheese Rolling Festival

On August 15, the zaniest event of the year is back in Whistler, BC: the famous Canadian Cheese Rolling Festival! Participants from across the globe will dash after an 11-pound wheel of Canadian cheese as it rolls down Blackcomb Mountain. This festival in the Upper Village of Blackcomb is fun for the whole family and includes cheese seminars, a Canadian cheese market, recipe demos, and activities for children. This is a FREE event! The Vancouver International Jazz Festival is Tomorrow!

The Vancouver International Jazz Festival, featuring amazing acts from all over the world, is happening June 18-21 at Robson Square and Vancouver Art Gallery block and end in David Lam Park.

The TD Vancouver International Jazz Festival is produced by the Coastal Jazz and Blues Society. 1800 Musicians will perform in over 300 shows (150 are FREE to the public), in 35 Venues throughout Vancouver.

Festival goers will be able to enjoy two more days of music downtown with live music gracing the Robson Square and Vancouver Art Gallery block on Thursday and Friday, June 18-19 as well as Saturday and Sunday, June 20-21.The festival will once again close with a two-day weekend of outdoor jazz at David Lam Park.

Confirmed musical acts for the 2015 downtown jazz four-day weekend include vocal group Naturally 7, Portland-based lounge band Pink Martini, and New York City fusion band Snarky Puppy.
